Commercial Description:
No, it’s not a wrestling hold, it’s a German style Mai Bock. Unlike many bocks that are deep amber to ruddy brown, mai bocks belong in the "helles" bock catagory. Helles means light in German and clocking in at 7% this refers to it’s golden color not strength. This malt forward lager is balanced with Saaz hops which provide a nice floral counterpoint to this brew.

On draught at the brewpub in St Cloud, MN. Pours a semi-clear golden orange brew with an average fast dissolving white head that leaves behind a white ring and spotty lacing. Aroma of sweet caramel malt, a hint of honey, some sweet pears and a touch of flowery hops. Taste is smooth, creamy, medium bodied with a slightly sweet caramel malt and toffee. Finish continues the sweet flavor and a slight toffee aftertaste. Nice mild alcohol warmth during the finish as well.
