Draft at Winterfest 2008, St. Paul, MN. Lactose and chocolate in the nose with some hop that is faint, but there. Dark, reddish black body with a light tan ring. Virtually no head or lace. Mellow flavor that is a little thin. A bit of a waste really. Sweet but without much character.

Feb 22, 2008 Winterfest. Brown color with tan head. A bit watery and mild, but still a decent porter. Some chocolate and roasted malt hanging around in the flavor.

Feb 11, 2008 Very thin on the mouth. SLight malt and coco taste. Some coffee aroma in there. Not much in the way of roastyness, as the descrip. implies. Overall just way to thin for a porter.

Feb 10, 2008 Served on draught at the brewpub in St. Cloud, and featured at the Winterfest 2008 in downtown St Paul, Minnesota. Pours a nearly opaque cola brown brew with a creamy tan head that slowly dissipates and leaves behind some spotty lacing and a light tan ring. Aroma of roasted dark malt, some flowery and grassy hops, a touch of chocolate with a hint of toffee. Taste is quite smooth, creamy with a toasted dark malt and chocolate malt flavor that is quite memorable. Finish is a slight thin compared to most other porters but has the toasted dark malt aftertaste that works well for this new brew.
