Sep 19, 2009 Tap @ McCoy’s Public House. Cloudy, bright yellow. Looks like a ground ginger and lemonade. Great aroma of ginger ale and Chick-fil-A lemonade. Awesome. So f’n refreshing. Combination of pure cane sugar ginger ale. No bite and home squeezed lemonade. A perfect blend. I’d let my kid drink this stuff. Yummy.

Golden coloured with a hazy appearance. Lemon aroma and flavour. Crisp on the palate with a ginger finish. Hard to believe you are drinking a 5% brew.

May 3, 2007 Updated: May 7, 2009on tap at Parkville Microfest. Cloudy yellow color with bubbly white head. Aroma: ginger ale. flavors include pepper, lemons, and ginger. A truly delighful and refreshing beer.
2009 Parkville update: Ginger lemon goodness with lemony chunks of mystery.
I really like this beer. Too bad I only get to drink it once a year at Parkville.

May 19, 2004 Lemony aroma with hints of pine. Head is white and spare, which may have more to do with the use of new glasses than with the beer itself. Not much lace to speak of. Lightly cloudy body; light yellow in color. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Long finish with heavy sweetness. A very nice ginger flavor pervades, and cuts the lemony sweetness. Was served with a Scallop Ceviche at McCoy’s Brewmaster’s Dinner in St. Louis Park, MN. The Ceviche was prepared with a citrus sauce made with the Ginger Shandy. A perfect accompaniement.

Sep 7, 2003 A very refreshing summer drink that tasted nothing of beer. Very quenching with an almost Lysol like after taste (in a pleasent way)

May 27, 2006 Draft at the St. Louis Microfest - Hazy pale yellow pour with light head. Aroma had ginger and light bits of lemon. Light mouthfeel with lively carbonation. Prickly ginger taste with no apparent alcohol. Some sweetness, but not much. Nothing new on the finish. I drink non-alcoholic ginger brews and this taste like it has as much alcohol as those - none. It was a nice drink, but I still can’t believe it is a beer. I’d drink this again as I’m a sucker for ginger, in both food and drink.

May 13, 2008 4 oz sample. Pale yellow, unfiltered, sour, tart, lemony nose. Taste is very sweet, a bit cloying, gingery, sticky, flavorful. Enjoyable taste but I could not drink a pint of this.

Mar 6, 2005 Updated: Apr 26, 2006On tap at the brewpub. Strong ginger aroma. Very refreshing and light. Pale cloudy yellow in color. Lemony flavor. Substantial fine-bubbled white head. A great breakfast beer for the kinder. UPDATE: On tap at the 2006 Best of the Midwest Brewers’ Festival. Sweet and gingery. More like a soda pop than I last remember.
