theisti (1638), Leawood, Kansas, USA Dec 5, 2006 Tap at the Brewpub. This was brought out as the Wheat beer, I assume this is the correct listing. Pour is yellowish / cloudy. A nice looking beer. Citrus and hops in the aroma and initial taste. This was a sampler, and the bar put a full size lemon slice in the beer, so overpowered it a bit. All in all, a very drinkable wheat. Cable (286), SE, Oklahoma, USA Mar 23, 2006 Sampled on draft at McCoys. Pours cloudy yellow with litle head, but nice lacing. It’s bright citrus aroma is followed by a balanced, yet tart wheat flavor. Had an off flavor resembling dish water, but it was very subtle. No clue what’s up there. Light-bodied and moderately carbonated. Not close to a hefe. hellomynameis (794), Mayer, Minnesota, USA Jan 28, 2006 There wasn’t a whole lot going on aroma wise for me with this beer. It had a yellow colour that was quite murky. No head with minimal lacing. The first thign I noticed with this was the after taste, strong wheat taste with some gritty grain in there. A bit of lemon like citrus tossed in as well. Quite drinkable. badgerben (3584), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Jan 18, 2006 St. Louis Park, MN location. Yellow color with no head. Aroma suggests an oddly spicy wheat lies in store for me, not unlike some Belgian triples. Some honey rounds it out. The taste is loaded with wheat. Not much citrus and no banana, but I find that most wheat beers tend to have a bad mix with the barley grain bill. This was just pure wheat, plain and simple. Quite tasty. Braudog (3733), Dayton, Ohio, USA Jun 12, 2005 Crisp, clean hazy little yellow beer. Nice mouthfeel, tingly and active. Very light malt with no biscuity heaviness. Decent. MOboy (446), Kansas City, Missouri, USA Sep 7, 2003 Your Typical hefe but because I love this place so much, it tastes better than most others from the area. OldJack99 (114), USA Dec 8, 2002 Good Hefe Weisen Indra (2018), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA Mar 10, 2002 Ample, fluffy head. Dark amber/yellow coloration, quite opaque. Strong clove/banana aroma. Flavor is fruity, yeasty, and wheaty, with a somewhat citric finish. Definite clove aftertaste. Pretty authentic, all in all, and not a bad Hefe. I’ve ordered more than one in my day.
