theisti (1638), Leawood, Kansas, USA May 29, 2007 On tap at McCoy’s in St. Louis Park, MN. Pour is amber with a quickly fading off white head. The aroma is sweet, almost butterscotch. The taste has a nice malt backbone with sweetness layered on top. Balance was nice on this one, my favorite McCoy brew to date. SledgeJr (2957), Omaha, Nebraska, USA May 26, 2007 On tap at the Parkville Microbrew Festival. Pours a deep rich gold with a thick off-white head. Has a very chewy and thick body. There is sweetness galore to this one. This is a yummy maibock and perhaps one of the best American-made ones that I have had. I suspect that it is lower ethanol than most. harlequinn (2745), Tacoma, Washington, USA Aug 3, 2006 A very nice bock, this was quite enjoyable to drink. Deliciously fruity, with a bittersweet malt background. A very true to style American styled Maibock Braudog (3733), Dayton, Ohio, USA Jun 12, 2005 This was their best beer ... a nice amber appeal with a rich malty goodness. A bit of the alcohol shines through, but it’s deliciously rich and well-bodied. Excellent. tjthresh (1746), Greenfield, Indiana, USA Jun 11, 2005 Great looking, with orange and yellow throughout. Light caramel, apples, and floral aroma. Head was completly gone by the time the pint got to my table. There was a sourness in the aftertaste. MOboy (446), Kansas City, Missouri, USA Sep 7, 2003 Beautiful colour with a very malty, smooth, rich and subdued fruity flavour. This is definately a crowd pleaser when it is served. Well done Keith. Indra (2018), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA Jun 22, 2003 Updated: May 21, 2004Sweet, honeyish, malty aroma, some slight green apple/pear fruitiness as well. Light golden amber in color, clear and slight-headed. Flavor profile is extraordinarily well-balanced for the style, the fruitiness, sweetness and light bitterness melding well. Medium bodied, fairly carbonated. Assertive but not overly so. Actually pretty good.
