Dec 12, 2007 On tap @ the ’06 Power Plant Strong Ale festival Aroma is oak, cherries, and sour. Flavor is the same. Seems one dimensional.

May 26, 2007 On tap at the Parkville Microbrew Festival. Pours a dark brown chestnut-ruby color. Nearly no head at all. Has a candy aroma of apple jolly rancher, red twizzlers and sweet tarts all rolled into one. Has a very salty and fizzy palate. A bit like a fruit-flavored Alka-Seltzer, but somehow, it all comes together.

Dec 3, 2006 Sampled at the Power Plant Strong Ale Fest. Brown with red highlights and a beige head. Aromas of cherry puree, cough drops and light chocolate. The flavor starts with some cherry, some barrel character, and has an acidic finish. Light body. Really a fairly nice beer. Nice to see some experimentation from the KC brew pub.
