Andbrewer (18), St. Joseph, Missouri, USA Feb 25, 2009 Sampled at the Brewpub. Dark with little head. I’m a little dissapointed with this beer. Strong taste of coffee, almost overpowering. Very watery as well. Would be much better if it were a bit thicker. Could use a little work. unclemike (834), Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA Feb 14, 2009 Wonderfully balanced, even with such a complex set of flavors. Fresh and aromatic. Roasty, toasty, rich, thick and robust. Not too heavy though. Great sweet vs. bitterness thing going on... and a little sourness too. Some chocolate and coffee hints really gave it the icing on the cake. I loved this beer. beastiefan2k (1590), Lawrence (formely NYC), Kansas, USA Jan 30, 2009 Sampler at the brewpub. It looks like a nitro pour based on the head. Aroma is what it should be for a dry stout, just dry roast with a bit of chocolate. Taste turns downhill with just way too much wateriness, barely any flavor. The body was similarly watery and thin. Yeah, needs work. drfabulous (1212), Columbia, Missouri, USA Nov 17, 2007 Guinness clone that doesn’t quite cut it. A bit on the light/watery side. Pours a decent head, but it lacks overall taste and complexity. Eyedrinkale (3209), Astoria, New York, USA Jul 12, 2007 Nitro pour. Creamy and Guinness like but with a sour, lactic flavor. Theres some roastiness to it with just a faint coffee flavor. Body is on the thin side. cbrixius (136), Newberrytown, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 20, 2007 On draft at the brewery. Not too much to really note here other than it was a very average, slightly watery stout with little character. It did look good on the draw, however.
