Pitch blanck with a froathy off white head. It really draws you in with its looks and then BAM!!! Nothing. No real aroma to speak of. Moderalty bitter. Very Light roast flavor, if there is any flavor at all. Pretty thin. Silky. Not all that good.

Light tan head that stood for an impressive 30 minutes. Bitter nuttiness and light roasted tones, but a bit on the watery side. After an inviting appearance, this turned out average.

On tap at the brewpub. Nitrogen dispensed. 40 IBU’s. Faint roasted aroma. Tan head. Thick lacing. Good body, complex flavor. Peaty, smokey, smooth. The high hops add to the complexity. Good coffee flavor. Pronounced roasted malt at the end. Palate is smooth.

Appearance screamed drink me (or maybe it was my thirst talking). Nice dark color with creamy head. Had a lot of trouble getting any kind of aroma out of it except a bit of a musty smell. Had a strong coffee flavor but it didn’t last. The body seemed a little thin.

The nitro runied this one for me. IT came through to the flavour and made it flat overall. It looked really nice and had an okay tatse.

Faint, milky, coffeeish aroma, a barest hint of cocoa. Opaque ebony color with a light brown, creamy, nitrogen-induced head. Flavor is a bit more redeeming, nicely roasty, dry and coffeeish, plenty of dark malty bitterness. Creamy, smooth palate, a bit flat due to the nitro. Has a slight amount of acidity and a tiny amount of hops. Okay for what it is.

Nice black color with cascading nitro head. Head is small. Very smooth. Somewhat smokey malt flavor.
