Poured from the bottle, a dark ruby brown, some carbonation, and a fluffy tan head. A caramal, but unfortunately metallic, aroma. The carbonation is a little strong in the mouth, finally relinquishing the tangy vinious fruit flavours. The short finish leaves some burnt caramal flavours and a lot of sweetness. Not a champion in my book, in fact, pretty average.

Dark amber color. Fruity malt aroma, light. Medium body strength, a bit oily; loads of caramel, some malt, some alcohol impression. Drinkable.

Bottle. Reddish brown colour with a nice off-white head. Sweet malty aroma with notes of fruit. Very bitter flavour with notes of sweet malt, caramel and toffee. Ends up very dry.

Bottled version. Not bad, but then nothing really special. Strong flavour as you would expect from a 7.3% beer. Not sure if it’s Championship material though.

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a clear, orangey brown with a creamy, off-white head. Malty, roasted nose. Full-bodied with lots of roasted malt, some caramel and a bitter finish. Quite some alcohol also. Slightly disappointing. Thanks to Kasper for bringing this home from Scotland. 300406

Bottle, 500ml. A large but diminishing head. An aroma of malt, berries and a touch of dough. Dark brown appearance. Somewhat sweet taste with hints of plum, honey and chocolate with a moderate bitter finish. Light carbonation. Not bad, but nothing special. Somewhat overrated in my opinion.
