Roasted something flavour. Slight hops with chemical/alcohol notes. Watery mouthfeel. Sour finish. I wonder if their master brewer is enthusiastic about this beer. I can’t say its really bad but I didn’t enjoy it. This is one of a four-pack. I don’t know if I’ll ever drink the rest - maybe serve them to unexpected visitors. chriswa (5), Wales does not count | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 12, 2004 Very impressive pint - certainly one that grows upon you - so dont just have the one! | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jun 7, 2004 Better than the beer that I had earlier tonite, but not that much better. Dark amber/brown body with a large and lasting off-white head. Metallic bitter taste that made it easy to drink but didn’t give much flavours to savour. Thin body with a pine/metallic hop finish with a faint hint of sweetness. bb (2930), Martinez, California, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Apr 19, 2004 Draft. Amber color with a long lasting off-white head. That's about the best part of the beer. It has a light/watery flavor thats a little creamy hiding the malt and hop flavors. Clean finish, but you didn't expect a lot of off-flavors when you don't have much flavor. imdownthepub (5177), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England
