Aromas are sweet toffee with nuts, floral hops and some pepper. Flavours are sweet and malty with toffee and some nuttiness. Dry on the finish with hints of bitterness. A bit thin bodied and not an IPA in the trus sense. Palidor19 (1798), Brandon, Florida, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 4, 2005 aroma if malty, with a hint of fruit. brown color, with a big brownish head. but the flavor is weak, not nearly as bold as i expect in an ipa. the aftertaste left a touch of sweetness, which i consder a bad sign for an ipa. a weak ipa entry. radiomgb (2073), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jul 4, 2005 Can. Copper in colour, dissipating beige head. Aroma of light malt (mainly cookie dough), some floral hops, cirtus and sugar. The flavour was of light floral hops, sweet caramel malts. Bitter mouthfeel, medium body, medium-high carbonation. Finishes slightly metallic with a lingering bitterness. OldGrowth (1434), North Carolina, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jun 29, 2005 Bottle, from Julio’s. on neck is 10 05 (L05). Ok nose, Leather, molasses, butter, fruity, on the lite side of things though. Clean brownish orange color, small head that faded quickly. Sweet bitter fruity flavors, though it a mild bitter. Same as aromas, with a sour fruit and tobacco thing mainly. Thinner body, watery, litely creamy though(if that makes any sense) sweet and sour finish. I now see it’s under "bitter" and I can see why, a mild malty brew, doean’t do much for me. jonsiii (157), Fredericia, Denmark
