Aroma is medium malt-some caramel/brown sugar. Taste is dark/medium malt-some caramel/brown sugar, secondary/faint hops bite. An easy drinking beer but not much hops, so I enjoyed it but not an IPA. | 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 24, 2008 A plesant enough bitter, with a bit of brown sugar sweetness. Certinally not anything that I would be used to calling an India Pale Ale. changeup45 (802), Orlando, Florida, USA

IPAs are one of my fav’s and this has got to be the worst one I’ve had.. This had a dark brown body, a little heavy, with a fairy thick head and a decent amount of lace. The color looks nothing like an IPA. It tastes more like a Brown Ale as well. Hops? Hardly any. Are they sure they put the right label on this? Wow. Somewhat smooth, but not a fan of the flavor at all. A scotchy malt flavor is the best way I can describe it. Or a milder version of their Scotch Ale, which I found disgusting. Maybe I’ll get it again in a year or so to see what I think then. MrStitch (138), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Mar 30, 2008 Bottle. Pours brown in color with a one finger head. Aroma is malt and a hint of hops. Flavor was light for an IPA, it had a nice bitter quality to it though. Drinkable. decaturstevo (2010), decatur, Tennessee, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 16, 2008 Thanks jcwattsrugger. A brown pour with hints of red. Malt and brown sugar without much hops on the nose. Medium sweet on the front with a bit of sweet on the finish. Very thin and watery carbonation is ok. Very average beer that doesn’t seem like an IPA I found it drinkable. What do you know it wasn’t an IPA. Maria (6315), Thisted, Denmark
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Jan 1, 2008 The color is rather dark and the flavour has a good bitterness from the beginning. Then it has a brief watery feeling that is followed by notes of malt, heather and honey. I wasn’t impressed by this one. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA
