Poured clear light amber with thin white head...smells a little hoppy (peppery) and a little sweet...very disappointing beer...easy to drink, but not really much of anything going on in the taste department...too sour to be a good session beer...

can. mahogany in colour with a fluffy white head. aroma of hops and sour apples. unfortunately it doesn’t taste all that great though. it’s fairly one dimensional and unbalanced. a long lingering bitter finish. I don’t really see how this beer is an IPA either...

Deep ruby brown with a slight white head. Decent lacing. Nose full of sweet maple and caramel. A bit sweet in the beginning with rising tartness. There is a light hop character, but certainly not in the range of any other IPA I’ve had. It si a very strange thing to call this an IPA. Was much closer to an Irish red in taste characteristics. Tart finish with lingering maltiness.

For some reason I was expecting an IPA so I was quite surprised by this beer. Pours a deep copper color, no head. Lots of sweet carmel aroma. When it first hits your tongue it is sweet and has good mouthfeel and then it all falls apart. Light body, not much flavor either. And there is zero bitterness I’m not sure that they used any hops at all in this one. At first I was disappointed, I took a wiff and started to get excited, took a swig and was completely let down. Oh and it was also flat.

copper-like with a sparse white head. Smooth, rather lacking in flavor and what happened to the freakin hops? If I didn’t know better I would have thought I grabbed a light beer!

Coppery with a very mellow, drinkable hoppy taste. Watery is a fair criticism, and yeah, it may not be IPA. But this is hot summer day beer and it goes down smooth.

Dark copper color, light hoppy aroma and taste, light body, light watery finish. Bad IPA.

Ha! Even if this isn’t a true IPA, it shows just how bad Alexander Keith’s is! From a can, a weak tea colour with a minimal head. Tasted very hoppy to me (I’ll take malty over hoppy anyday), and was a nice change. A bit bland, but not at all offensive.
