Never had this brand but I’ve looked it over a couple of times. Nice gravity, smooth, little bitter kick, little hoppy. I can’t say I’ve had a bad scottish ale. This one looses points with me because its a Scottish Ale that thinks its an IPA. Other than that, solid beer.

Poured with a small head, clear and amber in color. Light hoppy aroma. Not bitter tasting at all. No real distinctive tastes or smells. Very average.

Nothing like any other IPA I’ve had, infact, I didn’t believe it was one. It smells like apple cider. Oh my dissapointment when only an anemic little presence of hops crawled across my tongue. :-(

Canned. Not much aroma, poured medium brown, little head. Muted bland slightly bitter flavours, tinny taste. Little hop bitterness in aftertaste. Bland bland bland and disappointing.

Redish brown color, mostly diminishing head, low lacing. Earthy tones in the nose with a faint hint of hops and carmamel. Flavor is very malty, earthy, caramel and some pale english hops in the finish. Certainly not a IPA in California sense. Palate is too watery to be considered an IPA, palate of a american light, very nearly. Interesting drinkable beer, certainly not a knockout though, if it was brewed more aggressively I think it could be an exceptional brew.

Clear sparkling copper body with a large frothy white head. Malty-nutty aroma. No detectable hops. Middling malty flavors and minmal hops, not very bitter at all. Somewhere between Newcastle brown and the McEwans Scotch Ale. Odd. Truly odd. Oh yeah, it is not very good either.

A very thin and light IPA. Pours from the bottle with a dark orange color and a thin white head scum on top. The aroma is orange, caramel and vanilla. The flavor is malty with a bitter, unpleasant finish. This does not go down smooth.

Probably the worst "IPA" I’ve ever had. This isn’t even an IPA but the call it that. It’s dark and not that carbonated with no hop flavor at all. It almost tastes like a root beer. Thumbs down.
