Two enthusiastic thumbs down on this one. Weak and watery, with an slight essence of toffee, a little caramel, very little hops. Light amber hue, with a effervescent head, too malty and unbalanced, not something I would drink again. a soapy finish

Aroma of toffee and caramel, no hops, unbalanced. Clear amber with soda like head. Light malty toffee flavor with a wet and dry aftertaste. Good for a scottish, but kinda misadvertised.

Pours amber with little head. Aroma of roasted malt. run-of-the-mill malt flavour and not as hopped as I'd expect for an IPA

Cheers to Holdwine who rated this right before me. I was at the Smithsonian Folklife Festival in Washington on the fourth of July, and this was available from the 'Scottish' tent, so I quickly had one. I initially thought I might fancy it because of the IPA, but after reading it on this site i'm happy it is correctly categorised. Darker brown colour with no head, this was from the tap. Definately malty but pretty well balanced with hops...a good aftertaste and decent body & carbonation. Not a great beer, but there was really nothing wrong with this beer at all. It was either this or Newcastle at this location, and I chose this, because Newcastle is very common and not too great. Definately worth trying, to say the least!

I was at an outdoor folklife festival. It was hot and dusty. The two beers available: Rolling Rock and this nice ale. India Pale? I think not, but thirst quenching nonetheless. Nice and malty, tannish head. Sweet throughout with a slight hoppy finish.

On tap, brownish red color, medium white head. No aromas stand out, and the same for flavor. Very little hop action for an IPA. Somewhat easy to drink, but not in a good way. Not much going on here.

Dark amber in color, clear. Medium sized frothy head, mostly diminishing. Malt nose with notes of caramel. Sweet flavor, mild lightly hopped, acidic. Clean finish, lightly bitter.
