A very tame ipa, that is if your comparing it w/anything form the northwest. Unfiltered, smooth, malty, & kinda sweet.

Clean amber color. Difficult to believe it's a real IPA, with such poor character, from the aroma to the flavor, with an uncommon white sugar note mixed with some malt; the bitterness is just sufficient, and no hop aroma. Still some sweetness in the palate, along with the bitterness (artificial sweetners?).

Pours a deep amber brown, with a pretty small head. Aromas of hops, alcohol, and blueberry maple syrup. Tastes are a mix between candy sweet and hops. Overall it's a bit watery, not asd bitter as I prefer, but the sweetness is mildly pleasent. Leaves the mouth wanting more.

Bottle. A dark tea brown color with a diminished tan head. The aroma sucks. It's some sort of vegetable cardboard smell with no hops. How can they call it an IPA? Regardless, this beer is not worth having no matter what they call it.

An amber beer with a fine head thogh fast disappearing. The aroma is slightly fruity with hints of spices. It has a good malt sweetness, but is only slightly bitter - not like an IPA - but OK for a light ale.

Not a bad beer .Yes I agree that it's not like a lot of other IPA but not a bad stab .Ungassy pleasent enough flavor ,had it in a can and the percent was 4.3 unlike the description above needs more kick . And a bit more carbonation . With some small adjustments it wouklden't be bad .Will try it in a bottle, and re-rate .

I think that i liked this beer a bit more than all of the other raters. this is definitely not an IPA, that name must be a marketing ploy. the aroma is light all around with a slight smokiness and toastiness. the dark copper color is quite pretty. the flavor has a definite hop presences and a light hop bitterness. there is also a little diacetyl in the flavor which carries through at moderate levels in the finish. this is a fairly good scottish ale.
