Clean, crisp taste (read: boring), lively carbonation, not too hoppy for an IPA. A slight unpleasant bitterness hides somewhere. Oops, there it is, I found it. An "OK" beer at best. Won't buy again.

This one pours a dark, clear amber color with a small, fizzy, off-white head. The aroma is all malts, without a trace of hops. Thin body and high carbonation, the flavor is weakly malty with a slightly sweet but mainly watery finish. This is a weak beer, very bland in flavor, watery, and too carbonated. It is not awful, but I will not be having this one again.

Ewww...tastes like my grandfather's homemade wine after it turned to vinegar, smells like that too...beer should not taste like this. Plus, a bit dark for an IPA...maybe it's a bad bottle.

A very restrained IPA, While not my favorite style this one did not mesure up to the many others that are clearly truer to type. The hops were there but not like an IPA should have

Amber body with a nice head, aroma of stale hops and malt dead mid-collision. Skunky, burnt notes of malt permeate nose and flavor. Not sure what this is at the moment, but doesn't really resemble a scottish ale. Just bad. Looking at people's notes, Duff's "buttery caramel" seems an apt description of nose and flavor tones.

Dark amber ale. Nearly no head. Resinous nose. Roasty malt and Sherry flavors. Dry and hopbitter finish. Aftertaste with balanced roasty malt and slight hoppy bitterness.

Red-orange-brown beer. Malty with caramel and roasted tones in the nose. Mineral and sweetness in the mouth.

Not the right smell, not the right color, just not that good.
