Slightly bitter malty aroma. For some reason this beer really reminds me of potato chips. Definite English hop flavor. A little watery for my taste, but still a drinkable brew. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 14, 2006 Tried on tap. Pretty nice dark brown-red color, with a thin white head. Decent mild hoppy aroma. Unfortunately, the flavor was not too pleasing, not bitter or hoppy like I would have expected. OK body and texture, with little carbonation. Overall, I didn’t think this was too impressive; I’ve had better IPAs. smcd (366), USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 12, 2006 An ENGLISH IPA. Don’t expect the hops to jump up and bite you here! Spicy hop aromas. Grassy. Full-bodied. Sweet maltiness balanced, barely, with English hops. alabamajohn (67), Alabama, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 12, 2006 Not an IPA. Amber coulo w/ nice head. LIght spice and vegtable aroma. The body is just fine. The malts are sweet and abundant. Where are the hops? A decent beer. Not a bad choice for a session. thewolf (5827), Kolding, Denmark
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Mar 11, 2006 Rather bland beer. Not much of its white head and low carbonation. Great ruby-red colour. Scent is slightly chemical but mostly hoppy. Taste is mild (wuite watery) with a dryness to it and a quite malty taste for an IPA. trafford (171), Germantown, Tennessee, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 7, 2006 I had this at a beer tasting and it tasted better as the night went later and later. I wouldn’t classify this as an IPA. It had a lot more malt taste than hops. Still it had a smooth taste and went down easily. I will try it again to see if it was the quality or quantity that I liked. SETANTA (581), Allentown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 5, 2006 More of a slightly hoppier scottish ale rather than an IPA, was a light brown color, slightly roasted nose, malty and dry rather than sweet and hoppy as other IPA’s, but I’m not complaining. eve (240), Iowa City, Iowa, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 28, 2006 OK for a bitter but certainly no IPA, this is fruity and pleasant, pours a clear medium gold, and smells more fruity than hoppy. Slight hoppiness in the flavor but more orchard fruits and cookies with a little grapefruit.
