Bière scotch ale à 8%. Couleur brun claire, avec faible mousse. Fort taux d’alcool est bine dissimulé dans le goût. Important goût de scotch et un léger goût de caramel. Excellente bière à faible prix à la SAQ!

Poured a clear dark brown color with slight sublte offwhite film of hed. Light mouthfeel. Aroma and flavor both rummy alcohol and light bitter chocolate. Slight smokiness as well. Overall, enjoyable.

Bottled. Poured clear, deeper brown with a creamy cap of beige head. The aroma picked up sweet, toasty caramel notes accented by smoked peat.. a hint of earthy hoppage rounded it out nicely. The flavor was a touch too sweet for me, but it still held together nicely.. caramel and light chocolate at the core with plenty of sweet smoked peat, earthy, and floral bitterness surrounding.. tasty. Medium-bodied on the palate with lower carbonation.. prickly at times which impeded the flow a bit. All in all this was a very enjoyable drink!

Pours a nice dark reddish colour with a tall vanilla head which was nice and thick, and the initial taste is a sweeter malty flavor, but the finish lingers nicely with a tight hop finish. The mouthfeel is lighter, but a little creamy at times. But overall, fantastic beer. Very lovely!

bottle. Pours a dark brown/purple. Smells of caramel, chocolate malts, maybe some bourbon. Palate is medium and oily. Flavor is sweet, a buttery mixture of caramel, some dark fruit, and earthy notes. Finish has lingering sweetness. Pretty nice. 3.6

Pours a nice light brown, deep amber with faint off-white head. Has a unique bready, malty aroma. Taste is complex with butterscotch, caramel, figs and cocoa. Finishes with just a little sweetness. Alcohol is well-hidden. A great wee!

Bottle. Thick, rich and syrupy sweet, this is one malty beer. The dark brown/black body sits below a big, off-white head that disappears. The strong aroma is sweet with caramel, maple syrup, roasted malts, overripe prunes. There is a hint of something earthy and old, perhaps peat. (The bottle is from ’07, but the exact month is illegible.) The flavor is heavily sweet and lightly bitter. There is a licorice taste in the finish. Full body, syrupy texture, sticky finish. The temp at the beginning was 50 degrees, but both the aroma and flavor improved as the beer warmed up.
