Nice Dark amber/brown color with a fairly thin head. Mmmm love that big malty flavor. Very sweet, almost cloying, with no evidence of hops. The substantial alcohol is undetectible. This one has a fantastic mouthfeel with very low carbonation. A sweet malty finish. This is the beer I’ve been looking for. I’ve got to drive to another state to get it, and it’s worth it! The worst thing I can say is this isnt’ a terribly complex beer but hey some of the best flavors on earth are simple. TheBeerMaster (100), Little Falls, New Jersey, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 16, 2007 Bottle... Poured near black with an off-white head, faded quickly to nothing. Spicy malt aroma. Flavors were kind of hoppy up front with a wine-like bass, very sweet with maybe plumb juice and caramel. Sweet/tart malt finish. TheJester (724), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 13, 2007 355 mL bottle. (Labeled malt liquor!) Dark, chestnut brown with a small, quickly dissipating brown head. Thick molasses aroma with some ripe pear/apple in there as well. The flavour is quite malty sweet - caramel and cola. No bitterness, and it sweetens as it warms. Quick finish. Alcohol is well hidden. Fairly full bodied, but simple. Not bad - went well with lamb. jcwattsrugger (5581), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

Aroma is medium/dark malt-caramel, peat. Taste is dark malt-caramel/molasses, eat, dark fruit-plum/raisin, some hops bite. Nice Schwarz-scotch ale, occasional. OK carbonation. irishdunn (1), Michigan, USA does not count | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 11, 2007 I was very happy to have come across this great find. I love the dark overpowering taste of this mix. A Smokey sweet aroma coupled with a caramel, oakish taste makes this one of the better beers I have had. mansquito (846), Boston/Philadelphia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 7, 2007 Pours a dark brown colour with a thick, creamy off-white head. Smells like the smokiness from a single-malt along with some malts. Tastes of caramel, like a more harcore Wealther’s Original... A bunch of malts are definately present along with some fruits and some alcohol. Creamy mouthfeel as well. Pretty damn good.
