A lot of caramel in the aroma and taste. Some roasted aromas and flavors as well. Not bad.

Interesting aroma, not very strong, but slightly caramel. Pours very much like a Guinness with slightly less head and a bit of a lighter color. Flavor is quite sweet with a hint of chocolate and a finish of deep caramel. Definitely a winner.

Pours mahogany with a tan head. The bubbles are winking at me. Sweet aroma of caramel, pear, licorice, alcohol and maybe even onion or garlic. Wow! The alcohol packs a kick in this one. Alongside with the alcoholic nip runs caramel malts and some toffee. Full bodied. Initially the aftertaste made me wince, but the beer improves a bit as it warms. The flavour was still a let down... every other aspect of the beer was great. I’m not sure I believe it’s only 8% due to taste and effects while I’m through only half the bottle.

Bottle. Pours a very deep andrich mahogany colour with a dense tan head. The aroma is rather fruity, grapes? The flavour was rich with molasses notes.

355 ml bottle. Pours a thick, dark brown with a small tan, long lasting head. Aroma is sweet with toffee and fruits. Flavour is a sweet and a little caramel with notes of alcohol. Feels medium/thick on the tongue and leave a sticky lightly bitter, then sweet aftertaste.
