Dark brown, with a good brown head. Aroma of plum and bready. Taste is slighty alcoholy. Breadiness that fills the mouth with a slight plum taste as well.

Bottle. This one had a sweet caramel malt aroma, slightly roasted. The flavor was similar with a little creaminess in the mouthfeel. Decent beer.

330ml bottle. Dark red/brown body with a beige head. Rather little and plain aroma. Flavor is plain malt sweetness with a hint of alcohol.

Bottle. The appearance of this beer is dark brown and hazy. Light foamy head at pour with medium lacing throughout the glass. Full bodied: coated my mouth with heavy sweetness! Taste and aroma: toffee, caramel, and sweet plum.

Rated 1/29/06: I like this beer, why I don’t quite know except that it makes you want to leave it alone yet you keep coming back for more. Pours a wonderful dark brown with ruby red tones. Good head and lacing that stick around for the duration. The overall aroma is a comlex mix of sweet and roasted malts and maybe some coffee and/or chocolate thrown in. Very creamy and smooth to drink with a bit of a bite that encourages you to come back for more. The overall taste is even more complex than the aroma. You taste sweet and bitter all at once. This is an overall joy to drink, but definately not a beer that I could have alot of. Very good complexity that leads to me wanting more, even though I know that I shouldn’t.

12 oz. bottle at Zeno’s, Penn State. Poured dark chocolate with only a ring of tan head. Flavor was of malt and little else. Need some hops. Ugh, an effort to get through this one. At least the alcohol is well hidden.
