bottle. Pours a nice deep dark brown with a small tan head. The head quickly disipates leaving a ring and some lacing. Aroma of nuts, malt and alcohol. Taste of malt and alcohol. I think the alcohol is a little too over powering in this beer.

Sucré, fort, riche et peine de saveur. Assé proche d’un vin d’orge. Un bon arome de scotch. Un parfect apéro.

A deep chestnut pour with a light off white head. The aroma greats you with a fine malty presentation, simple but not bad. The flavor was sweet malt & light molasses. Again, simple but well done. Medium body. A fair brew, nothing fancy.

Bottle. Poured a deep rich dark cherrwood brown with a medium tan head, good lacing. The aroma was overripe apple and malt. The flavor was quite sweet initially, with malt, candied apple, plum, brown butter, a bit of bitter hops and a warming alcohol finish. It definitely tasted more scotch-like as it warmed. Very thick and rich on the palate. Excellent beer, I’ll be buying this again.

Mahogany burgundy ale with a thick off white head. Butterscotch and coffee aroma. Sweet malt with barley sugar, light hops, persisting. Thick and oily bodied, smooth and effervescent. A classic. Tasted 28/01/05 at Institut Scotch Ale tasting.

Sweet but with a strong alcohol taste. Reminded me of an irish wiskey. Dark brown with a small, white thick head.

[bottle from kulminator 1984 vintage] Smells old but in a good way, sherry notes, sweet malty toffee, fruity notes of plum and a slight touch of roastiness. complex, smooth body with a sweet finish and the faintest touch of tartness.

Noticable alcohol taste with along with chocolate and plenty of malt. Poured a dark brown with a small off white head. Rather sweet and malty aroma. pretty decent overall
