Glad I did though. This beer is super smooth, malty and a little sweet. Pours a nice brown color with a bit of off-white head. Aroma is caramel and sweet malt. Flavor is really bold but also smooth. Good beer. gringo332 (246), Richardson, Texas, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 11, 2008 Excellent. Sweet malt and caramel on the nose, and even sweeter in flavor. Hops are barely detectable. Robust and watery at the same time, which doesn’t make any sense, and there’s a nice alcohol burn going down. Very nice. bretupdegraff (182), Fishers, Indiana, USA

Aftertaste reminded me more of flat coke than a good brew. Scotch Ale must not be my cup of tea.
