| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 8, 2009 Bright gold appearance with a medium size white head and good lacing. Subdued, grainy, sweet malt aroma. Sweet malts dominate the taste with some herbal and floral hops adding balance. A light vegetal touch intruded on the palate but not enough to be an issue. Light-to-medium bodied mouthfeel and a short lived finish. gpekar (229), Maryland, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 7, 2009 Part of a Stoudt’s variety pack. It poured a crystal clear yellow with a tall foamy white head. There was a nice amount of carbonation bubbles rising up in the glass for a long time. There was a nice clean aroma, somewhat earthy with grass and a light citrus hops scent. The taste was crisp and clean with a nice bite from the hops that lingered for awhile and mellowed towards the finish. For the Helles style this was true to the style and enjoyable to drink. beachbum25 (802), Powellville, Maryland, USA

Has a pretty good hop bite, a little grain/grass/hay, maybe a little banana...All in all a pretty unremarkable brew. Not bad, just bland average. You can drink it, but I wouldn’t seek it out. Short hop finish. joebudzjoe (232), Connecticut, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 5, 2009 Tap @ Monster B’s. Piss yellow body with no head. Clean texture with a dull macro flavor. Nice grassy aftertaste though. Pretty boring, don’t waste your $$$ Dacrza (253), Great Meadows, New Jersey, USA

Glassware: Samuel Smith lager glass...
Appearance: Foamy, frothy resistant white head; straw gold color with a thick bath of effervescent bubble, slow and steady...
Aroma: Sharp bitter pilsner malts release a bouquet of fragrant floral notes--fresh and robust...
Palate: solid, even, medium-bodied but engaging the mouth with strength; drinkable...
Taste: crisp malt balanced by enough hops to keep all parts of the mouth appreciative; solidly in line with the style....
Overall: Stoudt’s does lagering right, and Lew Bryson is right to celebrate this offering, with its spring/fall versatility and its by-the-six pack drainability...
