Commercial Description:
This is a German Wheat (weizen) beer with yeast (hefe) remaining. Our special Bavarian yeast culture imparts a clove/fruit character making it especially popular as a warm weather thirst quencher. Try it with a squeeze of lemon.

The best hefeweizen I have had to date. A citrus, wheat taste, cloudy, with a light sweetness, that has a good after taste. On tap in Pensacola,FL.

Faded yellow color. Minimal head. Had an overripe fruit aroma to it. Strong bannana cream pie flavor with a good bit of cereal flavor in the after taste. Suprisingly that works. Decent little hefe that isn’t watery like most of McGuires other beers. On draft at the Destin location.

Yet again I have to wonder why mcguires keeps there average offerings on the menu hen they have it within their means to make such quality seasonal brews. The hefeweizen was smoothly cloudy with a white head. Clean but not watery mouthfeel with a fruity and acidic taste. Stronger hoppiiness than most wheats. Great beer all around. Second only to mcguires millinium belgian as far as their offerings go.

Draught, pint glass. Has a fizzy, white head which is fairly lasting. Murky body is mostly orange. Clove and bananas dominate the aroma. Dought yeast. Wheaty, strawy malts. Really a great smelling yeast. Nice moderate citric acidity. Warm yeast and banana flavors throughout. Nice spicey kick to the finish. Banana flavors do turn bubblegum-ish after a while (in the after taste). Watery texture, medium body, lively carbonation. The bottom line is: this is a great hefe to try if you're ever in Pensacola or Destin.
