An aggressive swirl did not create much head either. The overwhelming character here is chocolate syrup with some Quik stired into it. Very oily with a bit of grit. Sticky. Not bad. Aroma of some piny, earthy hops, dark chocolate and caramel malt. Body is fairly sweet and full with some big bittering earthy hops and warming alcohol toward the finish. The aroma was full of chocolate and roasted malt. Semi-sweet with a touch of licorice. The flavor was of roasted malt and caramel. Hints of chocolate. Semi-dry with a medium body.
