Commercial Description:
Not for everyone -- but if a rich, creamy, dark ale with a distinguished roast flavor appeals to your taste buds you will enjoy a pint of McGuire's Stout. To produce the sumptuous, creamy head we use a special nitrogen draft system. This robust brew is created with dark roasted barley and Chinook hops.

On tap at the brewpub. Pour black with a big creamy tan head. Basic roasted, charred aroma. Very roasted and creamy flavor. Fuller body with light carbonation. Dry finish. Not a bad beer.

I enjoyed a few of these at their Destin location. A sour stout in the Guinness tradition with a velvety nitrogen head and shy aroma, this approachable brew might well be termed stout lite. I think they have hit their obvious target pretty well and will please Guinness fans without introducing them to anything new. I prefer a more aggressive hopster at the business end of the stout kettle and won’t make any special trips back to have more, but Guinness fans will feel right at home.

On tap at Destin brewpub. Very light in color for a stout, dense light tan head. Light nutty roast aroma, some sweetness, a hint of lactose. Nutty on the taste, mild lactose sourness, some sweetness and a hint of roast on the finish. The body is watery to the point of being distracting.

Draught into pint glass in Destin. Very nice stout. Aroma and flavour were very heavy on bittersweet chocolate, roasted malt and slight bitterness at the finish.

On tap at the restaurant. Smooth with a roasted chocolate flavor. Very similar to a Guinness.

FBG07. Nose is chocolate malt. Dark black with a thin patchy light-brown head. Uninteresting, watery. Very thin palate.
