sebletitje (1880), Tampa, Florida, USA Mar 27, 2009 Tap at FBGF 09.
Thanks Dave for entering this one on RB.
Pours copperish with thin white head.
Aroma was just of pumpkin with some faint traces of spices.
Taste plenty of pumpkin, light undertones of malts, some chocolate, brown sugar. Spices remained not too forward with some weak notes of cinnamon and clove.
Ibrew2or3 (2714), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Mar 27, 2009 On tap at the Florida Brewers Guild BeerFest 2009. Pours copper with a slight haze and thin off white head. The aroma has modest amounts of cinnamon, nutmeg and a light sprinkling of pumpkin notes. The taste starts off with vague sweetness that seems to hint at being malty and then becomes pumpkin, cinnamon, a bit of coriander, nutmeg and a mild undercurrent of malts. The pumpkin is really understated and the beer isn’t overly spicy. But I think it could use a bigger pumpkin presence.
