Commercial Description:
Abbey 6 is what people in Belgium would call an abbey ""single"" typically at any of the five trappist monastaries in Belgium. The single is the beer that the monks drink due to its lower alcohol, and drinkability. Amber in color, medium bodied, fruity, and malty sweet. Belgian barley and French and German hops are used. 25 IBUs

Much thanks to egajdzis for picking up this growler... Appears a glowing golden orange with a small amount of bubbles rising to the top and a mild white head that quickly fades into a gentle collar. Tiny streaks of lacing are left around the glass. Smell is of a dark fruit basket that contains some melted sugary hard candy and some mild honey smacked apricots. There is also a funky skunk-like yeast ester buried in the background that doesn’t seem to be causing too much damage. Taste is of the same aromas with a mild banana note coming through with the candy, honey, and fruityness. Mouthfeel is dry, mildly sweet, yeasty, and definitely Belgian. Mildly thin finish.

Sampled from Growler courtesy of egajdzis. Poured a meduim and clear orangish color with a very small sized head. Tastes of fruits, bananas, some spices and light yeast. Tastes of fruits, citrus, lemons, and some spices. Medium sweet. Thinner body. Overall, this would make a decent session beer.

Compliments of egajdzis @ hopdog’s. A thin-to-nonexisten head. Pours a nice amber/golden color. Aroma is diverse - fruits, malt, spice and yeast. Flavours to match. A little thin, but very easy to drink.

Thanks to egajdzis for bringing this growler to a weekly tasting. Pours a translucent golden amber with a small white head that went away quickly. Aroma of dark fruits, banana, yeast spices and even some roastiness. Flavor was a sweet maltiness, with some various fruits.

Poured an amber color with a small, light tan head that quickly diminished, leaving faint spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of clove, banana, caramel malts, bubble gum, and light yeast as well. Taste of grains, more caramel malts, some clove, banana, bubblegum and citrus fruits as well.
