750 ml bottle. Cloudy apple ciderish with a lasting white head. Biscuitty and tangy citrus aroma. Taste is peppery with dates, nuts and orange zest. Some caramel and malts are there as well. Slightly tart on the tongue with a beautiful finish.

Thanks eyedrinkale, but no thanks! Ap: liquid caramel. white bubbly head that’s fully disapating. hazy. Ar: sour aroma, grains, toasted malts. F: Hay, saisonish. can’t say that I like this style. P: Dry. Bitter. Medium mouthfeel. Not a big fan of this one. It’s fine in terms of quality, just not for me.

Pours a hazy amber color. Small white head, lacing around the glass. Aroma of candy sugar, and grapes. Flavor is very dry, belgian yeast and a little apple twang to it. Very nice! Thanks to IDrinkAle for sharing this one.

Bottle: Reddish highlights and a brown head with okay lace and head. Aroma has notes of of barnyard and earthy yeast, toasted malts, vinous grapes, plum, and floral hops. The taste is quite yeasty with a moderate malt background.

750ml bottle: Slightly hazy amber body with a huge light tan head. Aroma is light pilsner malts, sweet grains, mild spicy hops, white grapes, bread dough, raisins, caramel-covered apple, cloves, hay, peaches, vanilla, citrus, dust. Taste is a pilsner-like sweet grain at first, immediately followed by a bitter citrus, then yeast, banana, lemon, apple, alcohol, biscuits, orange, light pepper, sugar-coated flowers, bubble gum, and grassy hops. Finishes very dry with flavors of sweet grains, honey, bitter orange, and stale spice. Another excellent beer from McKenzie.

Light caramel colored brew. Thick dollop of foam floating on top. Doughy biscuit like malts. Very subdued hop presence. Medium body. This is a real sit back and relax kind of beer. Thanks to slob for the trade.

750 mL capped bottle, (2004 version; about a year old, I think): clear golden rose, tall white head that settles into a thin, retentive cream. Dusty grain aroma with soft white grape skins, toasted dough, moss, chalk, stone and fresh herbs. Caramel coated hop flowers deepen a mesmerizing aroma. Elegant carbonation delivers the subtle yeast complexity into the tiniest pores in the tongue. Soft toasted malt and sweet caramel flavours – simple, straightforward but outrageously complex and wonderful. This is a special beer, I wish that my cellar was full of them…

Hazy light brown color & thick head. Spicy & yeasty flavors dominate. Smooth body with hints of apple & bourbon. Interesting blend here.
