Well made beer. Gold color, slightly hazy, small white head. Aroma is ciderish, apples, cinammon, nutmeg, and slighty yeasty. Flavor has a slight amount of tartness, but nicely done. Body is bubbly, reflecting the carbonation. Finish is intially sweet, followed by moderate dryness. Thanks Bert, this is a beer the masses should try!

Yeasty apple cider aroma. Spicy, peppery sage flavors with grassy undertones. Less pungent as it warms. I liked it a little cooler than most beers. Slightly sweet, saliva-inducing finish.

Burnt amber. Fluffy, dusty-white, loose-bubbled head. Toasty, airy aroma of caramel, white grapes, minerals, and herbal hops. Musty yeast, hay, and toasted graham undertones. Soft, bubbly carbonation. Meaty malt notes immediately wrap around an earthy, sharply herbal hop snap and fresh apple skins. Plenty of musty yeast to absorb the understated toffee maltiness. Malts are just supple enough to thwart some of the heavy saltiness. Caramel and alcohol become much more punctual as it reaches room temp. Clean, simplistic flavors in the finish with a lapsing nutty/caramel malt presence amid white grapes, dates, and herbs. More of everything would make this breathtaking. Understatedly elegant, no less.

Large offwhite head, good retention, nice clingy lace to the end. Hazy gold color with an orange hue. Looks cool in my Melbourne Bros. glass. Gentle malt and spices in the nose. Med/light body, coating. Medium sweet malt flavors up front. Light fruit flavors, peaches, currrants maybe? Nice spiceyness and more malt, breadyness in the finish. Finish is dry.

Mostly clear golden amber body with a thick, fluffy, persistent white head. Beautiful malty aroma with plenty of caramel, buttery nuts, orange and apple, vanilla, butterscotch and a bit of hay-like barnyardiness. Thick, creamy and luscious on the tongue. Great, full malty flavors that are slightly sweet with great caramel, toffee, fruits and light hoppiness. Really, this is a great biere de garde with wonderful flavors that mesh extremely well. A beautiful example that has helped bring me back to enjoy this style.

Thanks to egajdzis for bringing this to When Continents Collide 2! Pours a clouded orange-amber with a smallish tanned head. Nose was a little thin to me but contained a light spice, fruit, and yeast mix. Taste is reminescent of the above listed aromas with some sweetness coming through. Finish is dry. Pretty good beer, but I lack experience with Biere de Garde’s.

Hazy, amber ale with a small, creamy, white head. Great retention. From the aroma, I pull vanilla, nectarine and some earthy notes... maybe a hint of freshly cut flowers. Well-bittered flavor. Balanced with notes of clover honey, butterscotch and toffee. Full-bodied with a fizzy mouthfeel and a short, crisp, clean finish.
