From draught at McKenzie Brew House II. Has a light caramel sweetness in the aroma with mild toasted grains but not much else. Can’t really detect any hops in the nose. Has a muted golden root beer brown clear body with a thin off-white head atop. Medium light watery body, with light carbonation; fairly smooth. Starts dry with roasted malt and light caramel sweetness. Quite a dry ale with not much hops to speak of. A bit of carbonic acidity in the finish and a dull bitter quality. Meh.

On tap at the Melvern location. A little darker and more orange than the ubiquitous pale lager. Transparent with no haze. Interesting mild aroma of an old cigarette, but in a good way. No beer aroma to speak of. Initial taste is fun and interesting. No bitter hops can be detected. This beer is friendly and gentle. Easy to get along with, yet has just enough personality to let you know this is beer. Even seems to have some stout attributes hidden in the background. Finish is nice and tolerable, likable session brew. One of the best amber ales I’ve tasted.

Poured a golden amber color. The aroma was a sweet nut. The flavor was smooth and nutty with a smooth hoppy finish. Overall, very smooth, very drinkable...would definitely drink again.

Hazy orange color. The taste was malty with chocolate and roasted nut notes. Good lacing.

Classic amber color. Really enjoyable aroma (sweet and citrusy with slight hop/nutty background) but sort of a lack luster flavor combination. Good quality beer but nothing shocking --- on tap in Alexandria, VA

Brwonish color with a light malty aroma. Taste is malty and smooth, but lacking body for the style. Not a standout by any means.
