On tap at Malvern. The waitress wouldnt give me the nice tulip glassware behind the bar to pour this. wtf? They instead always pour every beer disregarding style- into the stupid shaker which is of course chilled. Pours a hazy light gold with a lasting pure white head with nice lace. Aroma is bready, light yeast, herbal hops, floral, light earth, and hints of spice. Smooth clean flavor with lots of bready and doughy malt and yeasty flavors, medium orange and lemon citrus. Really nice full mouthfeel and a clean lingering finish. This stuff is awesome.

Hand-bottle courtesy of Dickinsonbeer, sampled in November 2006: Pours a clear golden with a thin-lacing wispy white head. Mild, lightly sweet, toasty pale malty aroma has a nice, bready yeasty balance. Starts sweet and biscuity malty with a nice balance of lightly bittering hops toward a drier, floral bittersweet finish. A true to style and enjoyable brew!

Poured a cloudy darker yellow body with a fluffy white head. Aroma is mild bread and barnyard. Flavor is hoppy, though not very bitter, doughy, and some horse blanket. I really enjoyed this beer and took home a growler.

Had this at the Malvern Brew Fest. The pour was hazy deep straw. The aroma was complex, providing notes of orange, lemon, hops, barnyard, some spicy florals, and some Italian spices. The palate was lively, with taste notes of citrus and hops up front, backed by spicy florals and barnyardy yeasts. I found myself returning multiple times to the Mckenzie booth to get more of this stuff.

Back out of retirement and on tap at the Malvern location. It looks like this has been changed up a bit with the abv at 6.8% and ibu’s at 30 now. Pours a hazy golden with a medium bubbly/creamy lacing off white head. Aroma of floral notes, honey, lots of citrus, bready and hints of spces. Flavor was bready, mixed spices, corriander, lots of citrus, honey, light grains and yeast. Very nice and refreshing beer. Even at 6.8% the abv is hidden and this one is even pushing into a very full flavored session beer category.

12 oz handbottle, via Dickinsonbeer. Pours a slightly hazy dark gold colored body under a one finger foamy white head that fell to a thin film. Aroma is lightly fruity with lots of fresh cut hay and some yeast. Notes of bready malt and a little of that slightly funky "farmhouse" aroma. Flavor is dominated by soft doughy malt with lighter notes of citrus fruit, yeast, light spiciness, and some hoppiness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a slightly creamy texture and great soft, yet still fairly active, carbonation. A really nice easy drinking beer that doesn’t overwhelm the palate but is very solid and has a good amount of subtle complexity.

Poured a hazy golden color with a medium almost white head. Sweet and malty aroma with some citrus and yeasty notes. Light orange. The flavor was sweet and mildly fruity. Malty flavor overall with some yeasty spice on the finish.
