runaway (24), Seattle, Washington, USA Mar 21, 2007 Had 8oz on tap (under the name "Bock You Like A Hurricane") at Dad Watson’s in Fremont, Seattle. The color was ruddy red-orange with slight clouding and a thin white small grained head that left almost no lacing. Smelled primarily of malts and a slight hint of citrus and spices. Taste was subdued sweetly malty, slightly hoppy, slight hints of fruit. The finish was stronger on alcohol than I expected. CapFlu (3243), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Mar 8, 2007 (Draught) 4oz sample at Dad Watson’s Brewpub in Seattle. Deep reddish-orange body with a fully dissipated head. Spiced ginger and cider aroma. Flavour is hoppy, milky and strangely ginseng? Average at best. BeerLimey (1875), California, USA Aug 12, 2005 Clouded reddish amber appearance. Grainy mlat (animal feed) aroma. Sweet malty, burnt raisin scones, fruity palate, mild hop bitterness in the finish. GermanBrews76 (667), Eugene, Oregon, USA Mar 8, 2003 Very opaque, deep ruby body with a perfect tight creamy head. Beautiful curtains of lace. Caramel malts and some berries and spices. fitting for a bock. Some mildy roasted notes in here too. Nice and earthy. Alcohol initially, then followed by a bounce from malts to spicy, earthy hop tones. Alcohol stands out a bit too much considering its only 6.2%
