Commercial Description:
Cascade Head ale, being one of our lightest beers, was named after the National Wildlife Preserve in Lincoln City, Oregon. It is a light, crisp golden ale and is a good choice for those whose palates are accustomed to America's light lagers. Hopped exclusively with the noble Hallertauer, Cascade Head is a refreshing option for those who prefer their ales a little less aggressive.

Hazy orange body with offwhite frothy head and good lacing. Mild floral aromas with a hint of spicy hops. Light body, slightly fruity, watery. Man, I could chug this if I had too. Although, weak and not very flavorful, a hundred times better than a mass market ale. It had fresh going for it.

Tap @ 19th St - Weak and uninteresting, but then I have never come to expect much from McMenamins beers. Yellowish orange coloring with a scant small bulbbly head. Citrusy hops and weak watery malts that are somewhat bittersweet. Yawn.

Clouded yellowy appearance, sour grainy aroma. Mild flavor, grainy with some hop citrus and spice.

Tap @ Hillsdale. Clear and yellow colored, smallish white head which leaves good lacing. Aroma is muddled, very light sweet malt and just a hint of earthy hop. Thin bodied and watery. Just the slightest bits of floral hop bitterness. Should not be classified as an APA.

on tap in lincoln city. a bit of a disappointment, very muted cascade presence otherwise just seemed like a standard golden lager
