Too hit and miss for me. Sometimes this one is excellent while other times it is worse than Guinness.

Jul 16, 2008 On tap@McMenamins Crystal Ballroom/Ringlers Pub. Black body with a firm beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt and coffee. Flavor is fruity, roasted malt with chocolate and a harmonic bitterness, notes of dry fruit. A well-balanced and easy drinkable and still flavorful.

Jul 11, 2008 Draft at Roseburg Station; Nose of chocolate and coffee; clear but very dark brown with a small, glass-lacing tan head; flavor is chcolate, caramel, and a light dark fruit note.

Black pour with slight toasted coffee in the nose. Burnt unsweetened chocolate... coffee kilned grain. High Carb and a dry under hopped finish. A good stout for a brew pub.

Jun 13, 2008 Beautiful color, nice tan head. Maybe a little coffee, quite a bit of smokiness in the aroma. A little bit of smoke in the flavor too. Not much hops except in the finish. Pretty good stuff.
