Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular.
Our latest ale is inspired from over 180 years of brewing at The Whole Hop Brewery. Styrian Goldings added to English Fuggle hops achieve a refreshingly well-balanced combination. The subtle biscuity flavour comes from pale ale and amber malts. Mixed with the citrus flavours of these hops, this creates a light and refreshing ale that all generations of ale drinkers will enjoy.

cask at the bon accord- pours golden yellow, more yellow than golden. lots of lacing, thinnish foamy head. nose is a bit spicy cinnamon, apples. biscuit. taste is slightly too sweet for me, with a dry hop finish, tastes like the ale version of kronenberg.

Cask at Nags Head, Covent Garden, London. An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with citrusy notes of hops as well as notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel, leading to a slightly bitter finish. The mouthfeel is very smooth.

Cask at the Nag’s Head. Golden coloured beer. Aroma is quite spicy and zesty. Light grapefruit, orange and a bit of herbal/spicy character. Medium bodied, but with a great balance of light challenger-esqe hops. Bright zesty flavour on the finish. Really quite unique and tasty.

cask @ The Prince of Wales, Shrivenham. The first cask ale of my 2007 trip to England. Light copper in colour, with aromas of very mild citrus fruit, nutty British pale malts, and a bit of grassy hops. More light fruit in the mouth, with notes of crusty bread, and delicate floral and wood elements. A bit of a watery palate, and fairly low bitterness level. Understated overall, but good. A solid start to the trip.

Cask @ Nags Head, Covent Garden. Amber colour with frothy white head. Aroma is floral / nuts / hops. Taste is smooth / citrus / hoppy. OK enough beer, but lacks that punch.

Cask@Nags Head. Amber colour, mediumsized creamy head. Aroma is nuts, fruits, some very oaky hints. Flavour is wood, some earth, platics and mould. Not the most interesting one.

Cloudy light copper colour with a small but lasting white head leaving some lace. Toffee and butterscotch in the aroma. Malty, medium bitter flavour.
