Handpulled cask at the Farriers arms, St. Albans. I grew up on this beer, spending most lunchtimes drinking it when I studied at Ware college, Herts. It is still an excellent session beer with a crisp bitter finish. It is deffinitely darker than it used to be in its days as a light mild.

Cask at the Nag’s Head. Pale gold thin head. Aroma of pale malt, light spice and a tobaccoish woody character. The slightest whiff of sulfur. A bit of dustiness. Palate is a bit watery though. Pretty good.
