Aug 23, 2007 Cask@Nags Head. Dark amber colour, mediumsized foamy beige head. Aroma is a bit caramel, hops and malts. Flavour is the same as the aroma in a really mild and wellbalanced way. Also has some slight roasted notes.

Jul 31, 2007 Pint @ Spice Of Life, Soho. Amber body, small cream head. Strong lacing on the glass. More malty (think shreddies) than the other McMullen’s I’ve had, with a twinge of fruity sweetness and less of a bitter finish. The body was watery, but this might be because Spice don’t keep their McMullen beer as well as The Nags Head does.

Mar 26, 2007 Cask at The Nags Head (Covent Garden). Aroma is floral, with some malt. Dark golden amber color with significant white head. Starts floral, moves to light malt, finishes medium bitter. Something of a malt/hop balance in the finish. Distinctive.
