Mar 31, 2006 Cask, Nag’s Head, Covent Garden: With my London guide, Duff. Clear dark amber with some slightly harsh roasty notes and a touch of felt-tip pen (??) and sweaty foot. Not a great start. Slightly winey and cola-like with watery malt and hop flavours. Really not a lot going for it.

Feb 26, 2006 Updated: Mar 1, 2006Pint pulled at The Farriers Arms in St Albans (Hertfordshire), clear amber with a large creamy white head. Malty undertones with more dominant fruity hops in the aroma. A swetness in the flavour that goes through the mouth with some hoppy bitterness and dryness.
