Cask at Bridge House, Hertford on 19th August 2009. Brown/copper with white lacing head enhanced by thirsty drinking. Very refreshing with a delayed, intense nutty finish. Rounded and easy drinking with slight saline mouthfeel.

Cask conditioned at The Farriers Arms, St Albans, Herts. Brown in colour with a white soapy head. Nice easy session bitter to start the day off, nothing sharp or spiky, just a smooth malty, if slightly thin (and I noticed that the pump clip was showing 3.7 ABV, so there may have been a reduction here) bitter, bordering on a light mild. A hint of barleycorn on the finish, a good standard beer.

Cask at the nags head. Aroma is pale biscuity malts, caramel, leafy earthy citrus hints in the hops. Taste is similar, definatly a malty beer than the other two i had, but still good stuff.

Cask at The Nags Head (Covent Garden). Aroma is floral, with some malt. Dark golden amber color with significant white head. Starts floral, moves to light malt, finishes medium bitter. Something of a malt/hop balance in the finish. Distinctive.
