Bottle. Small ivory fizzy head, poor lacing, floaties, cloudy. Malty, caramel and hoppy nose. Flavor was bitter and mildly hoppy. Sticky and thin palate. Light body.

Bottle. RB INDY 2/25/06. Pours a deep apple cider color with chunky sediment that produces a light white head. Aroma is light of barley, wheat, and some floral notes. Flavor is lacking an IPA feel. Hardly any hops at all, too much malt. Alcohol comes through a little bit. Palate is chewy and sticky. Not sure where to classify this. Surely it is a poor example at best of an IPA.

Sample BI Indy gathering 2/25/06 - Aroma has subtle hops, carmel malt, and orange. Pours cloudy brown-orange with small head and great lacing. Flavor is pretty mild without the hops and tons of malt showing up. Not sure if it was too old or what. Palate is soapy and sticky. I hope is was too old or else it is just a dead ipa.

Wet horse smell. Very cloudy, chunky looking with big sediment in the glass. Big body in mouth. Thick over the tongue with a sign of hops. The finish is lingering but subtle.

Bottle. aroma of caramel, hops, and a little funk. more of the same in the flavor, but with a dissapointing palate in which the hop flavor quickly dissipates and an off-tasting rusty metalic flavor kicks in. Still a good session beer, but not consitent with the ipa’s I’ve been drinking recently in overall hop quality.

Thanks to gputty for this one. Nice amber color with a few floatys. Good hoppy aroma which lead to the strong hop flavor.

Bottle: Amber color with a small white head that leaves some nice lacing. Fruity hop aroma with some apricots and toffee notes. Good balance, lightly sweet malts with a hint of toast, followed by some moderately bitter hops. Citrus, apricots and caramel all come through.

Out of a bottle. Aroma was great on intial consideration, grassy piney hops. Appearance was burnt copper with a nice dissolving head. Flavor was ok hoppy and light caramel but faded dissapointingly to an acidic almost rusty tones. Palate was about average but finish was long and painful. Overall it smelled good and looked okay but left me bummed.
