Lately I've found myself disliking super-hoppy beers, so this IPA comes as a pleasant change from the majority of other IPA's I've encoutered this year. Not that hops are bad, just a personal preference of late. This beer has a wonderful hop aroma, sweet and floral. Taste improves as I keep drinking, with a very solid English malt backing. This is an IPA of English descent, not Western US, but has a nice hop balance nonetheless, without trying to cover up any lack of quality in the malt. Flavor alternates between strong English malts and hop bite, and the finish is relatively long. Just a good overall beer. freekyp (903), Thomasville, North Carolina, USA

Fairly malty for an IPA with a generous hoppiness. Nicely balanced, I felt this brew was less hoppy than their ESB. dirtymike (2018), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA
