| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 11, 2007 A cross between an English and an American style IPA, very well done with good bitterness prominent. The malt serves to generate a proper level of bitterness, I think most enjoyed with heavier food. Fresh bottle from recent Vermont trip and carbonation, while suitable, bloated me to no end. Different and recommended, I would like this on cask. nimbleprop (895), SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 9, 2007 Pours a translucent orange with a foamy lacing white head. Aroma was mild, oranges and lemons. Flavor is certainly all spicy English hops, grass, and a touch of malt. The finish is slightly soapy and astringent. Better than the Champ Ale, but not a beer I’d repeat. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 27, 2007 on cask at the brewpub. Hazy orange in color with low carbonation. Aroma is citrus, floral hops, as well as a minor pine note. Taste is alot of citrus and floral hops, a good amount of bitterness throught the taste, as well as a pretty decent malt backbone. pretty well done. atpayne (615), Zionsville, Indiana, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 14, 2007 Pours cloudy copper orange with off white head. Very active. Lots of bubbles look nice. The aroma is malty and hoppy. Cascade, grapefruit, and citrus. A very fruity hop on top of mild malts. Flavors are a sharp citrus hop, overly fruity and some alcohol after tastes. Hop bitterness does not seem ballanced enough. Lingering hop bitterness keeps you comming back, but the mix is unballanced.
