22 oz. bomber thanks to Mel(I believe). Black with a small tan head. Lots of chocolate come out in the nose, along with some dark roasted malts and a bit of coffee. Rich roasted malt flavor with again a good deal of chocolate, mild coffee and a lightly bitter finish. Medium- full bodied, with a creamy texture. Very tasty.

Great color, I think this could easily lubricate my car’s engine. Very big coffee aromas at the beginning, but those tame down a bit. Good feel on the palate as it’s not as thick as it looks (if it did, it’d practically be solid). I did not find the same level of burnt flavor as the other tasters, rather I found it much more balanced. Good beer and I’d definitely get this again.

Best beer I’ve ever had? Perhaps. HUGE coffee-ish head (nitro-pour) with aromas of coffee, booze, and... beer. This is an imperial stout without extreme abusdities like 32%ABV or 343IBUs to be memorable. McNeills makes classy and damn damn good beer.

#3000: Pours jet black with 1-finger brown head. Aroma of amazingly intense roasty dark patent malt, chocoff, molasses. Tastes rich and roasty malty, with a big chocoff flavor, plus some slight cherry and vinous fruit notes, and some walnut/hazelnut hints. Medium to dense palate, but not as hefty to me as the Oatmeal Stout. Very complex and well balanced, with a smooth finish.

22 ounce bomber shared by my brother, ChazyRPH. This beer was 1 year old. Musty, swampy, roasted cocoa aroma with some sweet notes present. Mild ethanolic notes are also in the nose. A fair aroma. Opaque, black body with a beautiful dark brown small head that is achieved with a very aggressive pour. Light lacing. Attractive. Roasted, burnt malty chocolate flavors to start. This is very roasted and burnt. Finishes with a warming, ethanolic finish, There is a grapefruity. PNW hoppy finish, Seems a little too one-dimensional and burnt for me. I would like a little more sweetness.

Bomber shared with after4ever. Pours an opaque black with a light brown head. Full body, medium carbonation. All the stuff I look for in a stout: the coffee, chocolate, nutty roasted malt, and a bit of contribution from the hops at the finish.
