Bottle (22oz) shared with HogTownHarry, garthicus & biegaman -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a cloudy orange-copper with an average size frothy off-white head. Aroma of dark fruit and alcohol first followed by malt and a mild sourness. Flavour of sour fruit, metal, light hops and alcohol. Average bodied. Aroma’s decent but the flavour wasn’t very good.

Bottle (22oz). Shared with blankboy, biegaman & garthicus, via trade with glouglouburp. Hazy copper, decent creamy off-white head. Sour fruit aroma, oddly tangy, some sort of solvent - lemony. Taste - boozy, fruity, mostly just dry lemon and alcohol. Sharply carbonated mouthfeel, boozy and an ugly sour aftertaste.

Thanks to HogTownHarry: Appearance: Cloudy ruby red with an off white medium head. Aroma: Malt and slight dark fruit, paint thinner, toffee. Flavour: Bitter, dry, yeasty, quite sharp, somewhat dusty, not sure if this is an old bottle. Odd, sour and a little thin.

Tap at Barcade’s 4th Anniversary Party: A tan head vanishes over a murky, deep amber body. The aroma is sweet rotted fruits, old fruit skins and sugar plum. The body is slick, with notes of oxidation. Starts with a bitter old fruit skin note- plummy suggestions and a peppery long dry hopped finish. Predominately old fruit flavors with odd papery notes as well. Not really working out well.

Bottle: Poured a deep copper color ale with a huge foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of huge caramel malt with some nice notes of toffee and subtle dry fruits also noticeable. Taste is a mix between again some huge caramel malt with some very interesting notes of toffee and dry fruits. Medium sweetness is well balance with a full body, some great carbonation and no apparent alcohol. I hard heard that chances were that Mcneill’s bottles could be infected but I have to admit that this one was quite good.

Well mine was not infected, I bought a bottle from a Stowe, VT liquor store. This one pours an amberish/brown color with very little head. I think my bottle was a tad flat. Aroma is malty and sweet smelling. Flavor is malty and a bit warm. Good? I guess.
