Translucent brown body with a minimal off-white head. Lightly spicy nose with notes of debittered malt and cocoa. Semi-sweet, chocolatey flavor with some balancing acidity suggesting plums and cooked dark fruits. A medium-bodied, well-balanced porter. Decent overall.

Light brown, milky head of fine bubbles. Decent carbonation. Light coffee, milk chocolate and roasted grains in the aroma. Color is a very dark brown/black. Rich roasted flavor of blackened grains, a hint of coffee and some dark chocolate. Little bit of bitterness. Lively palate. Thin to medium bodied. Finish is charcoal and bitterness without the grit of typical carbon. A very good porter. My palate does not note the sweetness as some of the other raters.

22 oz. bottle sent from Eyedrinkale - thanks Mike! Pours dark brown and opaque with almost no head. Aroma is dark roasty malts, coffee, dandelion and floral hops. Roasty, slightly sweet flavor with bitterness present both from the dark malts and the floral hops, along with a bit of the sour-astringency that I lovingly associate with a good porter. Medium body and little to no carbonation. Pretty nice porter overall.

Nice brew, tastes alot like my first homebrew. Dark bitter chocolate and bitter hops dominate the flavor, with a bit of swwet caramel malt at the end of the sip to cleanse the palate, nice stuff.

Nose of chocolate, cherries, some alcohol and a hint of vanilla/whiskey. Light chocolate/coffee nose, a bit nutty with that vanilla/whiskey thing. Chocolate cherries & milk in the finish

beer pours a very nice deep brown with good ruby overtones, and a tan head that retains well and leaves good lace. nose is both sweet and roasty - very nice. flavor has a dry roastiness without being overly astringent, with some underlying sweetness. this is a very nice porter, on the dry side, and very drinkable.
