Bottle. Pours a dark (almost black) color with a fine, foamy brown head. Aroma is woody with notes of bittersweet chocolate and touch of alcohol. Nice mouthfeel and carbonation with an awesome bitter, coffee-spiked, finish. Flavor is nice and toasty. A well-crafted beer with a medium/full body.

Bottled. Pours jet black with a great lacing brown head, beauty. Aroma is subtle but reminds me of coffee and cocoa powder. Flavor is very, VERY dry, hurt your tongue kinda dry. Nice thick mouthfeel is cool, carbonation was nice.

Sampled a pint of this beer on draught at the brewery in Brattleboro, VT. Pours to a beautiful, ebony color, with a thick, tan head, and a soft carbonation. The nose on this beer is excellent with lots of good dark chocolate, coffee, and mild roasty aroma. Palate is firm, with good dark malt, coffee, and roasty flavors. This beer finishes with more good dark chocolate, coffee, and roast, then ends with a dry and bitter finish. Excellent dry/Irish stout. A great beer to enjoy relaxing at the cozy bar, and a nice beer to take away in a 22 oz bottle.

22oz - thanksClarkVV - Aroma is chocolate malt and coffee. Pours a deep black with a medium brown head and great lacing. Flavor is mocha espresso with roasty malts and a creamy back. Palate is also creamy, slick, and smooth. A nice stout.

(22oz bottle) Purchased at Winooski Beverage in Winooski, VT. Pours a thin, brown, frothy head which dissipates quickly atop the opaque body. Nose of strong coffee and bitter chocolate. The flavour is all out coffee with an oily and fizzy texture. Bitter hops in the finish beat around by the coffee bully. I like this a lot!

Bouteille-Senteur chocolatée, grain de café, moins torrifié que la Saint-Ambroise Stout mais il n’en demeure pas moins que c’est une très bonne stout.--Bottle-Chocolate smell, coffe grains, less torified than Saint-Ambroise Stout but still, it’s a very goo stout.
