Hoppy, lightly citric in nature, quite earthy with chocolate. I like these chocolate earth vs. citric hop ambers but there are a lot of them, which detracts from the appeal of any one individual. argo0 (6994), Washington DC, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 21, 2003 Typical copper golden amber color with a thick tan head and an assertive hop aroma with mild acidity. Bottle refers to it as a "hoppy amber," a title that suits it better than IPA. Body is full, malty and hoppy with great balanced and a crisp, smooth finish. A very good, drinkable session brew. Aroma is quite hoppy with lots of herbal noble hops. Light malty sweetness with an earthy bitterness and lots of herbal/woody hop flavour. A little but dusty but it doesn’t have that mustiness that these guys normally have. It’s not bad, but it’s not great either.
